as i often find myself applying regex, and in this case to edit text dynamically, it has occured to me that Notepads seemingly does not offer any option to limit the scope of its text replacement feature to selected lines.
as such, i figure an additional search option in the overflow menu of the find query could fill this gap.
i believe the hotkey ctrll not to be in use presently ; perhaps this could be chosen as its shortcut ?
or rather alts, as would befit the current control scheme pattern.
here is a quick mockup of how this could look.
upon further reflexion, this could benefit the search feature as well, besides that of replacement. in fact, as i suspect they were developed so as to be intertwined, such an improvement would have likely affected both, and certainly should.
