Quick Start

Prerequisites

• Docker and Docker Compose
• Node.js 18+ (for local development)
• PostgreSQL (if running locally)

Using Docker (Recommended)

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/1234-ad/task-management-system.git
cd task-management-system

2. Start the application:

docker-compose up --build

3. Access the application:

• Frontend: http://localhost:3000
• Backend API: http://localhost:5000
• API Documentation: http://localhost:5000/api-docs

Local Development

1. Install dependencies:

# Backend
cd backend
npm install

# Frontend
cd ../frontend
npm install

2. Set up environment variables:

3. Start PostgreSQL and run migrations:

cd backend
npm run db:migrate

4. Start the development servers:
