MeshToParticle with AMR?

With this signature MeshToParticle(PC &pc, MF const &mf, int lev, F const &f), how should MeshToParticle be used with AMR? For example should I call it for all refinement levels from least refined to most refined? What does lev mean here?

This seems to work, with lev being boxarray N (0-based) in definition of particle_container corresponding to multifab and geometry of interest.
