With the addition of the hysteresis squelch tunable (pulling out of the source from being a hard coded value), it was added to the Squelch Menu in version 3.00.

It appears that something isn't quite right in the initialization routines, because it should default to the factory setting of 24 (that was hardcoded in the source). Right now it looks like it might be defaulting to 0.

Needs investigation and possibly fixing.

WD6AWP reports that on a Quantar with DSP/BEW, the range of 1-100 for hysteresis may not be enough:

"I experimented with the hysteresis quite a bit today. I found the 24 setting has less than a db of hysteresis and some squelch chatter. For comparison, I measured the Quantar's hysteresis at around 1.5 to 2 dB.

With the setting at 100 hysteresis is about 2db, 70 gives about 1db and 50 was about .5 db."
