unable to harvest cinnamon from Pams Harvestcraft

Hi,
when i try to harvest cinnamon from Pams Harvestcraft cinnamon trees, the cinnamon just disappears instead of being harvested.
This only happens if primal core is installed. Itried to set
D:HARD_BLOCKS_HARDNESS=0
but that didnt helped. I dont want to disable the feature from primal core wich forces the player to user proper tools, in this case an axe for chopping trees.
However, the garden scythe from cyclic still works on cinnamon trees.
