Closed as Automattic/a8c-ci-toolkit-buildkite-plugin#144 is almost ready and we'll follow up with a proper PR to adopt the changes. |

Just a test PR. It will be followed up by one similar to #875 once the code extracted here makes it into a new CI toolkit stable version.
