I have some questions.

Hello friend, mad respect for putting this script together. I have been using the Riseup Bitmask client on Android for a while now but on my PC I prefer to keep things light. :)
Note that I fragment the config into several ones as per the location of the servers, just like the Bitmask client.

I wanted to ask some questions:

• the script makes a config with some servers which I'm unable to connect to, namely New York City and also Amsterdam takes some tries to connect to, do you know why?
• the Bitmask client has an option to use UDP instead of TCP but states that it does not work on all servers, your take on this?
• the OpenVPN documentation also states that UDP is the preferred protocol, would like to know your opinion.
• when running the script with --no-dns-leak should it create some up/down scripts as well? It never does for me, no idea why.

1-2- Sorry, I don't use this script very often anymore (although I still maintain it), so I can't answer questions 1 and 2. I don't really know why some servers don't work or whether they all support UDP.

3- My take is that using TCP on port 80 or 443 (Riseup only supports port 80) is the best option if you want to bypass network restrictions such as corporate proxies, the Great Firewall, etc. But if you only care about getting the best bandwidth, use UDP on any port.

4- The --no-dns-leak option should create up/down scripts. Could you run the following command and show me the output? ./generate.sh --no-dns-leak -vvv

Nice to know that you're still willing to maintain the script despite not using it much yourself.

About the up/down scripts: I'm on Slackware Linux, here's the output:

About TCP/UDP and ports: so in the list of the servers that are saved to the config, the ones with port 80 are the default TCP servers? 53 is for obfuscation? 1194 for UDP possibly? I'm literally guessing here lol.

Erratum: my script doesn't generate the up/down scripts. Instead, it tries to use those installed by OpenVPN in /etc/openvpn/. Could you list all the files present in /etc/openvpn/? Or search for a similar directory? Maybe Slackware installs them somewhere else.
