Super+G does not bring up the default 2x2 layout

Installed just fine. Super+G works to bring up the help menu. However I do not start with the predefined 2x2 zones, and cannot perform any actions past viewing presets by using ALT and SPACE. System report below.

Can´t really explain this. Are you able to create a grid at all? So, dividing the regions using SHIFT or CTRL? And does the grid show up when you drag a window while holding CTRL?

I cannot create a grid. Pressing SHIFT or CTRL does nothing. The grid does not show up when I drag a window while holding CTRL. However, when I drag a window while holding CTRL and let go of click, the window goes fullscreen. It's as if I have a 1x1 grid that I cannot split down with the editor, nor see when using the editor. Bit of a head scratcher for sure.

I thought I had this same problem as I didn't start with predefined zones either. Maybe your issue is different, but while holding CTRL of SHIFT you should should see a small black point moving at the edge of the screen. Then click while still holding shift to add the point. Right Click to remove any point if needed. This is at least what I have, I hope it helps.

I tried what you suggested. I cannot see the grid I have created, but it does indeed snap to the zones that I assume it created when clicking while holding SHIFT, it just won't show me what those zones are.

Fancy tiles tries to use the theme colors for the fill and border of the regions. Perhaps this goes wrong in your case and the drawing fails. Could you tell me which theme (and theme colors) you use?

Also, perhaps you can look at the xsession log while opening the grid:

I use a custom Windows XP theme (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2FmeHCw75Q). In case that was the issue, I changed my theme to the default Mint light theme and tested again. Same issue unfortunately. Output requested below. It seems it is an issue with my theme, but changing my theme back to Mint's default should have solved the issue, odd.
