Feature request: Selective export and retention #79
Description
As a system administrator, I want to configure an optional, tiered final deletion purge policy for alarm video data (e.g., shorter retention for non-critical video, longer for alarm video) AND be able to select specific alarm videos to override this policy for indefinite retention, so that I can manage storage efficiently while ensuring critical incident footage is preserved and remains available for export and review.
This covers:
- Optional final deletion purge policy: The administrator can set this up.
- Tiered nature: The policy can have different rules (e.g., 3 minutes for non-alarming, 4 days for alarming).
- Ability to select alarms to maintain: Users can mark specific alarm videos to keep them beyond the standard purge date.
- Export capability: The reason for keeping data (within the 4 days or indefinitely) is for review and export.
