• demo of how to use pvlib both for PV modeling for 3rd party developers interested in using pvlib in their apps
• as a basic solar energy calculator

Currently this doesn’t come across when folks land at pvfree instead it goes straight into the database. Therefore the other goals of pvfree are missed, and collaborators might not understand how they can contribute.

ideas

1. Overhaul the landing page & readme
2. add contributors section
3. add issues to backlog marked as help wanted or first timer to assist oriented contributors
4. complete the model chain on pvlib tab
5. show how database can be used to connect inputs like module parameters
6. Integrate openPVspec
