Hi, I don't even know if esp-ide supports mingw, the Windows port of GNU C. Did you try the toolchain at To be closer to the way I develop, WSL is definitely the best option, just copy the built file over to Windows when you are done and use one of the Windows ESP32 flashers, that will avoid the serial issue. I hope someone comes along who has more Windows development experience. I don't. |

I just wanted to provide some feedback that I was not able to get the project to build via Windows. I was able to get the project cloned and started to build it (needed a recursive pull to grab hamlib). But, I couldn't get past ninja/cmake complaining about the lack of a compiler. I started going down a road that was pointing me to trying to get cygwin or something setup, but had some nightmares to blowing up my workstation by scattershot installing build tools in the past. Any tips on getting this rolling ? WSL2, at least in Windows 10, doesn't support extending serial devices into the VM, I might just be stuck for now.
