A nutrition calculator for mindful eating.

Describe the solution you'd like
To easily track and understand the nutritional content of my meals and make informed dietary choices.
This includes features to input food items and serving sizes, automatically calculate calories, compare intake against daily recommended values, and receive feedback for maintaining a balanced diet. The calculator should be intuitive, fast, and personalized to the nutritional needs for better meal planning and health maintenance.

Hi Shanthi, these are the user stories/sub-features I came up with that I felt could fit in the feature. Please let me know if there are any discrepancies/confusions regarding them.

As an admin, I will add nutrition values (e.g., calories, fat content, sodium content etc.) against each ingredient for each serving size
As an admin, I want the system to automatically calculate the nutrition content of each meal based on the nutrition content of the ingredients
As a user, I want to input any health issues that I might have, and/or the total calories and other nutritional components (fat, carbs etc.) I want to consume in a day (is it allowed?)
As a user, I want the app to recommend me meals based on my conditions
As a user, I want to receive warnings from the app if my meal plan exceeds the recommended amount, or has any nutritional deficiencies
As a user, I want the app to suggest healthier alternatives to foods I frequently eat
