Why is facial verification for using realistic human refs with Seedance 2 necessary?!!

Seriously... just... why? What about privacy? What about humans you AI-generated who inevitably won't look like you? What if the database containing your face gets hacked and leaked online?

Discord tried to push this just recently and we weren't having it.

Verification is required by Bytedance who apparently want to get ahead of potential legal liabilities. They want to verify their Real Human videos only features real consenting humans.
They don't want impersonations or unauthorised uses of someone's likeness.

Concerns over non-human actors, privacy, and security are best addressed by not using the Real Human workflow, or by lobbying the global legal community to guarantee the ability to generate freely without threat of vendor liability, and also contacting the companies involved to ensure they don't attempt to moderate content generated on their services (which would be nice, but let's be serious here).
