DESCRIBE THE BUG:
When switching between Audition Clips, the audio of each clip will lose its Audio Effects when those effects aren't FCP Audio Effects. When adding a macOS Audio Effect, or a Logic Audio Effect (or the FCP Channel EQ Audio Effect!), it will work correctly when initially dragged on to the audio, but these effects are marked with a warning sign and stop working after changing the Audition Clip to a different clip and changing back.
TO REPRODUCE:
Create a new project. I am using 4K, 24 fps, stereo, 48khz
Add a "Solid" Generator.
Go to the Clip Menu > Audition > Duplicate as Audition. Now there is an audition with two clips.
Drag any audio into the first or second clip.
Add any macOS, Logic, or the FCPX Channel EQ audio filter onto the audio in the clip.
--It will work correctly
Change the Audition Clip to the alternative clip, then change it back to the clip with audio.
🪳The audio effects are now disabled with a warning sign next to them
EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR:
The audio clips' effects (non-FCP audio effects and FCPX Channel EQ) should persist and work correctly and not have a warning sign next to them.
Most of the built in FCPX Audio Effects are retained, but none of the non-FCPX Audio effects are retained.
The only FCPX Audio Effect that stops working when changing Audition clips (that I've found) is FCPX Channel EQ.
SCREENSHOTS:
Audio Effects:
FCPX: Vintage Radio
FCPX: Channel EQ
Logic: ChromaVerb
macOS: AULowShelfFilter
After changing the Audition Clip and returning to the Clip with audio and Audio Effects, the macOS AU, Logic AU, and FCPX Channel EQ Audio Effects stop working with a warning sign next to them.
SPECS:
2021 16-inch MacBook Pro (M1 Max, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD)
macOS Sequoia 15.3.3
Final Cut Pro 11.0.1
