No.
Firefox lowest Android support is 5.0 or later.
Even if Dev wanted to support 4.4, he cannot.
Your only option is to upgrade to at least Android 5.0+

GeckoView supports Android 4.4+. Firefox requires 5.0+ because the Mozilla Web Components require 5.0+

You asked if Firefox Android supports 4.4. The assumption is that we are talking about recent versions.
It does not.

Last version that did was Ver. 68+, that was back in early 2023. You technically could still use that but is not recommend as it has been archived and has not been supported for years. Security concerns and all that jazz.

Geckoview does not support 4.4. Minimum requirement is 5.0 or later. If you want to build something with it.

And even if you could it make it work, as you said Web Components, which SCWP uses would not support it, either.

So, unfortunately the answer would still be a no.

I know that 115 GeckoView supported Android 4.1, and that 128 GeckoView required Android 5. I'm currently working on a browser based on 115 GeckoView, I'll see how it goes.
