Simple PowerToys CmdPal plugin for easily typing input as if from a keyboard. Ideal for remote environments and other scenarios where pasting isn't possible.
- PowerToys minimum version 0.90.0
This extension can be installed via winget using the built in extension installer directly from Command Palette!
- Open Command Palette
- Select "Install Command Palette Extensions"
- Search for and select "Input Typer For Command Palette"
- Select/Place cursor where text should be typed
- Open PowerToys CmdPal
- Search Input Typer and click enter
- Type the text you wish to input or leave blank for to type the clipboard
- Select the result (ENTER)
- <text> is typed into the selected location
An alias can be set to allow for quick activation of the Input Typer extension. This is fully managed via the Command Palette extensions page in the settings.
