Encourage Reuse Across CMS and HHS Systems

• Package IVaaS modules (e.g., identity verification, eligibility logic, data exchange connectors) into reusable components that other CMS programs can adopt.
• Work with HHS OSPO and other agency teams to align documentation, standards, and APIs to maximize cross-project interoperability.
• Publish “implementation playbooks” so other agencies can adopt IVaaS with minimal lift.
• Maintain Hackathons and Regular Roadmap Updates
• Run at least two hackathons per year to seed new ideas, provide entry ramps for first-time contributors, and accelerate backlog items.
• Tie hackathons to public roadmap milestones so events feel directly connected to CMS’s priorities.
• Publish roadmap updates quarterly, showing progress against goals and incorporating top community contributions.
