CN-RMT vs CN-CNT? #149

Did anyone already investigate the CN-RMT connector?
The CZ-RD517C wall mount thermostat connects to the CN-RMT connector. Looking at the schematic there is a 5V, GND and 2 data lines(one with a 10k pull-up and one going to a CN-DISP LED. Perhaps it's a UART as well?
It appears that the CZ-RD517C has it's own external sensor and sends the signal to the AC.
Maybe wishful thinking, but could perhaps CN-RMT and CN-CNT use the same protocol, like with CN-WIFI?
