Currently, ready-made modules containing VL53L0X TOF distance sensors are used. However, due to their physical design, these sensors must be positioned relatively far from the robot's outer walls. This requires large cutouts in the walls to ensure the sensors don't detect the walls themselves.
To address this, a custom flexible PCB should be designed to accommodate the TOF distance sensors. This will allow the sensors to be placed closer to the robot's outer walls, minimizing the size of the required cutouts.
Additionally, a mechanical structure should be designed in #2 to securely mount the sensors in their optimal positions.
