Option to show full group name in toolbar instead of just icon

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I would like to have an option to see the full name (of reasonable length, of course) in the Firefox toolbar. The only option now is either to have the title bar shown with the option "Prepend group title to window title" - great, but not if I want to save space by hiding the title native window decoration (title bar) -, or I can select the group icons to be "text" but those are only a few characters (2½ or so).

I would like to see the group icon and its name in the FF toolbar, e.g. like this:

(of course, color ideally subject to configuration, but even if the text is just a subject to the theme, it's OK)

Additional context
Just the colored icon is not enough if you have, like me, five groups opened. Picking a custom image is too much of a hassle and even if it weren't, remembering the icons would be the same as remembering colors.

Another alternative solution: I realize Firefox may not allow the addon button to be bigger than the standard button width. With that in mind, I would appreciate if it were possible to assign the groups a single large letter (rather than truncated small title of the group). It could be the first letter of the title and it could show something like this unicode character: 🇶 or 🇪 or 🇦 etc. (taken from https://www.amp-what.com/unicode/search/regional%20indicator )

As far as I'm aware, it's not possible for webextensions to have anything other than the usual toolbar buttons in the toolbar. On that toolbar button, a "badge" can be added, which can only contain very short text, usually only used for counter "bubbles" like uBlock Origin does for example.

You do realize, that you can simply right-click a tab within a group in the STG-popup and set the tab's favicon as the group icon?? That's neither much of a hassle, nor should it be THAT hard to remember(?)

e.g.: Having an Amazon, eBay or whatnot icon for your shopping group should be sufficiently easy to identify? Or a steam logo for a gaming group, etc.

Maybe this helps already? Because I doubt what you're asking for is possible to implement. And the repo owner is unfortunately "preoccupied"... hopefully they're safe... See #1016

Hi @philg-dev , thanks for your answer. I was afraid I might be asking impossible, that's why I suggested an alternative solution which would satisfy my needs. I also thank you for the tip with setting a favicon of a member tab as its group icon, I completely missed that. That is, however, not very useful to me in many cases because I work on projects in a company and the tabs related to the various projects are still mostly within the realm of the same tools (e.g., docs, GitHub, Jira, ...) thus having the same favicons.

Working with what we have now, I could create a set of dummy webpages which use the letter icons as favicons and use that to assign a letter icon to a group. It's cumbersome but it might work, thanks for catalyzing the idea :)

Also thanks for pointing me to #1016 - I hope the repo owner and all his/her family and friends are safe and survive the war without harm, and I hope that we collectively crush the aggressor to the ashes, else we won't have much need for the conveniences of civilization like this add-on anymore…

Keeping this issue open because I would like to hear the opinion of the SSG author regarding the options on this. Unfortuntaly, it is beyond my capabilities to try to implement this myself.

OK, just for anyone who has the same needs for group distinguishing ­– I have a simple JS page with dynamic letter favicon generator -> I can then use the page as a source of the group icon. It's not perfect, but it does provide a solution, albeit somewhat clumsy.
