There is a rustsec advisory warning on puffin due to it using bincode which is no longer maintained. The advisory was published 2 days ago.

Bincode's last disclaimer mentioned Wincode as a Bincode-compatible alternative. Could it be switched to?
Describe alternatives you've considered
None, just wanted to share awareness of the warning against puffin from Rustsec. Didn't seem like any other issues mentioned it.
