Occultism t1 satchel is not working right. refuses to place chalks irrationally

Describe your issue.

placing seviras permanent confinement pentacle
(obviously this is e10 version not default)

so I'm facing west
there's a 3 (n/s) x 2 (e/w) chunk area
pentacle is on the edge of the western most middle chunk (aligned)
when using t1 satchel, it drew all the chalks inside the main chunk but wouldn't draw them in any of the eastern chunks at all
In addition, it was only the chalks that it had trouble placing
Placing spirited attuned crystals outside the chunks it had no issues with
to add insult to injury, it had no problem placing chalks in the south western chunk that was not the main chunk
again, it only had problems with the chunks east of the main ritual
oh, t2 satchel works just fine

they are in claims but I also tried it outside of claims
here are some images to fantasize about.

I can't even begin to posit what kind of demon is causing this but the mod itself should lend itself to otherworldly affairs of it's own and stop trying to make me do manual work :P
