Suggest we change it to something clearer, like:

I have been though this on the last iteration and the size of image in the widget is not big enough to support what you have above that is why we created the current icon

It used to be the 4 color patches without the icons but a coloured icon doesn't fit it with the rest of WAB, speak with Kevin why it was changed

I'd agree with @kgonzago on this, the WAB widget icons are typically white silhouettes on a blue background

I think the icons are the most important part, but open to suggestion.

@joebayles The original color image was a holdover from the Flex web app days and it didn't fit with the theme in WAB. It was decided a simpler icon would replace it instead. The four symbols in the image you shared in your last comment may possibly get washed out due to level of transparency but it might work. Let's use it and get feedback.
