In Windsurf, Cascade Assistant hangs whenever a terminal command finishes

When Cascade Assistant runs a terminal command (for example, git status), it remains stuck on the “Running…” status indefinitely. This issue only began appearing this week. I tried reinstalling Windsurf, but that didn’t help. Platform: macOS.

I'm the same. Every time I stop here, I have to waste a single question and end up doing nothing

I have the same issue. In chat mode, I have it recommend changes. I click to apply the first, at the bottom I click accept_file (the blue buttons one), cascade window is now frozen.

I am facing same on Windows, even reinstalling didn't fix the issue. Once cascade executes a terminal command, it remains stuck for forever, and command is never completed, nither it shows any command output.

the solution I found first kill the cascade panel then execute this command in the terminal
