Is the project still maintained?

Hi, I wanted to use this app in my project, but it won't run as I am using django 4.1 and the staticfiles tag was replaced with static tag. There is a pull request to fix this but it has been 2 years since it was made and hasn't been merged.
Is that pull request likely to be merged sometime soon? Is the project still maintained?
It would seem a shame if it isn't.
