Crash when loading a gen 3 (Emerald) save

Describe the bug
The 3DS crashes as soon as i try loading a pokemon Emerald .sav file.
PKSM seems to function normally with other Pokémon saves (Heartgold, Soulsilver (Cartridge), Platinum, Y, Ultra Sun).

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Add an emerald save file.
2. Try loading it
3. The console crashes

Expected behavior
PKSM loads the save file normally.

• Entrypoint: (not sure what this means)

Additional context
I am not using an Injected VC but open_agb_firm to play the emerald rom.
