This incremental ZIP updates the published 0.14.2 source layout. It does not change Git history or publish a release. Stop the running GUI with Ctrl+C first. Save the ZIP and its SHA256SUMS file beside the project directory, then run:
(
set -euo pipefail
sha256sum -c audio-bitsqueezer-v0.14.3-deps-cp001-SHA256SUMS.txt
bitsqueezer_zip=audio-bitsqueezer-v0.14.3-deps-cp001-incremental.zip
bitsqueezer_sorter=$(mktemp)
trap 'rm -f -- "$bitsqueezer_sorter"' EXIT
unzip -p "$bitsqueezer_zip" audio-bitsqueezer/scripts/sort-layout.py > "$bitsqueezer_sorter"
python3 "$bitsqueezer_sorter" --root audio-bitsqueezer --archive "$bitsqueezer_zip" --apply
)The updated sorter is needed because the previous sorter accepts 0.14.2 update
manifests. It validates every incoming file, backs up replaced files under
build/layout-backups/, and rolls back file changes if a write fails. Applying
the same checkpoint twice is harmless. Local edits to replaced files remain
in the backup. User audio, outputs, environment and configuration are retained.
From the project directory, choose either complete setup or GUI startup:
bash install.sh --install-all
bash run.sh gui
# Or check/install/recheck and start the GUI in one command:
bash run.sh gui --auto-install-missingWindows equivalents:
.\install.cmd --install-all
.\run.cmd gui --auto-install-missingThe installer exits nonzero if something remains missing or broken. Read the named dependency and installer diagnostics before retrying. OS elevation may still prompt. See dependency coverage.
Validate locally before release:
.venv/bin/python -m unittest discover -s tests -v
node tests/gui-state.cjsVERSION is 0.14.3. The existing scripts/release.sh reads that version and
docs/RELEASE_0.14.3.md when the maintainer is ready to publish a new tag.
The existing 0.14.2 tag and assets are not replaced by this checkpoint.
