The issue was submitted by email: "I am unable to restore a file to a previous version using WinGIN. No older files are being checked out."

I tested it on .txt file, when is used the option from contex menu "Get older version" the menu with all commits for specified file is showed and when specific commit is selected the old file is copied to the repository folder with name "--.". The issue could be that the file is not shown, but the explorer needs to be refreshed (with F5 or reopening the folder).
Tested with:
GIN command line client 1.11 Build 001459 (103e923620de08ff77cf290e0b840a6d66cebfe1)
git: 2.26.2.windows.1
git-annex: 8.20200330-g971791563

WinGIN version 1.2.127.0
