Hi.

Describe the bug
i currently try to customize the built in dash, but apart the location of the dash in the overview,
all other settings seems to do nothing.

System:
-OS: Ubuntu 23.10
-Version of V-Shell extension:62
-Source of installation: extension.gnome.org
-Other installed and enabled extensions:

Just a note since you haven't provided enough information: Ubuntu Dock is not the built-in dash.

sorry I wanted to talk about the module integrated into v-shell and which is called dash,
I think it's the module that allows you to customize the dash, I tried to use it but it doesn't work well,
basically all I can change is just the position of the dash, when I try to change the opacity or the size of the icons, it doesn't work (the result doesn't change) the default style remains applied.

and in addition when I try to put the option dash position = hide,
the dash always remains visible but it overlaps the preview windows.
you can see the difference between photos

The Dash module is automatically disabled if conflicting extension is detected.
It includes:

  • Dash to Panel
  • Dash to Dock
  • Ubuntu Dock
  • Dash2Dock Animated

so that means that the final look of my dash should depend on another extension?

When Dash to Panel is enabled, it controls the dash visibility, V-Shell knows nothing about DtP settings and disables the Dash module to avoid conflicts. You can use CSS for styling the dash.
