Hi,
i hope you are fine.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
yes, I would like to keep my workspace as clean as possible (since I have a small screen) while keeping all the functionality present when necessary, I would like to use the option "thumbnail position/ / workspace orientation" in hide mode, but I can't because it turns out that it's very useful when you want to move a window to another workspace.

Describe the solution you'd like
please, please,
add an option which allows you to reveal the workspace thumbnails (at the desired location if possible, left, right, top, bottom), only when you want to drag a window to another workspace.

the thumbnails might only appear when you grab a window.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I'm sorry, but this feature doesn't sound like a well spent time to me. You can use workspace thumbnails in AATWS, or its Move to Current Workspace feature. V-Shell can move an app to the current workspace from the app menu (or Shift + click on app icon).

Hi,
I recently thought of a way to achieve this behavior,
I still wanted to give you some in case it was a little more interesting.

looking at the vshell settings, I noticed the setting which is used to modify the scale of the workspace preview thumbnails,
So my proposal is to add automatic scaling,

we could have two scale values, a minimum (by default) and a maximum,
and if we grab a window (to move it to another workspace), we would have the thumbnails which would go from the minimum scale to the maximum scale.

what do you think ?

Thanks, any idea is appreciated! We never know which idea will convince me that I want to implement it in some form. For now, I'll remove the wontfix flag.
