Item below finger is not spoken when screen is hidden

Since upgrading to GrapheneOS build 2025040700, the following errors occur while the screen is hidden via TalkBack:

• item under finger is not spoken or selected when dragging the finger on the screen
• scrolling up or down does not work
• the fingerprint sensor does not react

While screen is not hidden, Talkback works as intended, but since hiding the screen is an important privacy feature, this is no permanent solution.

Device: Pixel 8a
GrapheneOS builds:

It likely needs an update to a new TalkBack version but they don't release those regularly to the open source TalkBack.

The issue starts with 2024040700 release. Latest TalkBack versions don't have this problem though.

Rebase to latest upstream is finished. I'll test everything and open PR this week.

Update: unfortunately, the latest upstream has this bug too. The only properly working version is this one from Play Store by Google.

I'm unable to resolve this bug without decompiling and anallysis of Play Store variant.

This is annoying.

Is it possible to use the playstore version? TalkBack is a system app and needs certain rights, so I don't think just installing it would work properly ...

I managed to fix this in #99, specifically in bde8124.

@heull001 Play Store version is working even without GMS (Google Mobile Services) installed, I recommend disabling network permission for Android Accessibility Suite though.
