Selectoin mode

Samsung keyboard and gboard have a text editing mode. And it has a selection mode: I press the button, activate it, and I can select text with the arrows. What is the key code that activates/deactivates this mode?

There is no such function on HeliBoard, there are many requests for it.

the only options are to use the toolbar which is limited to "select word" and "select all" and move the cursor without selection.

I use Samsung and I used "One Hand operation" to use selection in the "shortcut keys" feature, in addition to the classic "crtl shift right/left" (because HeliBoard doesn't recognize if there are numbers or symbols in addition to the text w "select word" 🙄) I added "ctrl backspace" and put "home/end" which when I select and click it, selects the line, but it only works if Gboard or Samsung is active, even with a hidden keyboard…
