2 questions after testing the new features:

Symbol character pairs: How can I integrate the braces pair (or similar shortcuts) into my existing custom layouts? Also: can I customize the symbol pairs? I'd like to add couples of ' (single quote), couples of **, ~~ and some other Markdown stuff.

Emoji font: Where is the specific setting to define or change the emoji font?

This is not a layout thing. It should work by selecting text and pressing (

No, currently not. Pairs are here. From your examples, only ~ is missing.
