Changing the extension-specific default download location #226
Comments
@Hugo-COLLIN At least in Firefox it doesn't work this way. I can choose any path on my PC that I want. Even more, before last update or two this feature worked, because Firefox remembers the last used directory for every specific website. So I didn't have any problem with that before the two last versions 3.7.2. and 3.7.3 Here how it worked on version 3.6.1: 2025-02-01.00-43-38_3.6.1_old-version-converted.mp4And here 3.7.3: 2025-02-01.01-29-44_3.7.3_new-version-converted.mp4The extension started to ignore my setting "Always ask you where to save files", that is "yes" and started to save files to my default FF download directory by default without asking. In both cases my FF version is 134.0.2 64x |
@TerEsper For sure when you select yourself a directory, you can choose everywhere you want on your computer. Here it works because it redefines the download location for your browser itself. The point is, when a download location is selected by default and doesn't open the folder selection window, you cannot (through the extension itself) specify a default download location outside of this folder. What you descibe here is not related to this issue and needs a separate one : #245 |
Hi,
Great extension! Very useful!
Could you allow users to choose the location to download to. My understanding is that the extension saves pages to the Download. It would nice to get it to download to a particular Obsidian folder...
Thanks for the extension.
Regards
Darryl
