PS: by (re)reading the news regarding IBM DBB 2.0, it is indicated that there is compatibility with Java 11: Navigating from link to link, I obtain this information: Does compatibility with Java 11 concern both zAppbuild scripts (compiled on the fly from Groovy to Java) and DBB APIs (already compiled in Java)? Generated report for IBM DBB 2.0 Detail software requirements.pdf |

Hi,
The Program Directory for installing IBM DBB indicates a prerequisite for Java 8.
Java 8 is now an old version, and IBM offers Java 11 and even Java 17 versions (provided you are running z/OS 2.5).
A Java 8.07 version is also available to use z16 hardware.
IBM announces important performance gains, and therefore I think a reduction in CPU consumption, with the latest versions of Java, perhaps through a recompilation of applications or the use of new Java functions.
Would it be possible to have information on the compatibility of IBM DBB with the latest versions of Java 11 and 17?
Has IBM or a user site done operational testing with Java 11 and could report their experience here?
Thanks.
