Discrepancy in accessType values between include and documentation

The list in https://github.com/IGSN/metadata/blob/master/description/_site/include/accessType.xsd has the values "public" and "private". The documentation, as a result of previous discussions at workshops, has the values "accessible", "restricted", and "private".

Are there any objections against aligning accessType.xsd with the documentation?

Can you define those categories please?
E.g. for me 'public' means no restrictions, open access in usage and 'private' means it's usage is determined by the owner, so 'private' can potentially be both 'restricted' and 'accessible'.
Without descriptions, the proposed classification can be interpreted as following:
'accessible' - open access can be accessed after following defined conditions
'restricted' - not to ne used (confidential), or can be accessed after following defined conditions
'private' - owned by a private party with access rights defined by this party.

RIF-CS is suggesting the following access rights categories which looks quite sensible to me:
open: Data is publicly accessible online

conditional: Data is publicly accessible subject to certain conditions. For example:

• a fee applies;
• the data is only accessible at a specific physical location.

restricted: Data access is limited. For example:

• following an embargo period;
• to a particular group of users;
• where formal permission is granted.

Thank you for pointing out the RIF-CS vocabulary. At the moment the RIF-CS definition of "conditional" does not make much sense for samples as they are always accessible only at a specific physical location. Or would that mean that they will not be shipped? We should discuss access restrictions with the IGSN members.

In terms of physical location, GA has three cases: samples on display, open to public to observe; and samples in repository which can be open to all people, some people and restricted to all. GA is also running a sample exchange and loan programs
