Windows Defender flags AWM's injector.exe as malicious #176

Description

@starlite-systems

Before reporting your issue

  • My version of Windows is up to date (Atleast up to April 2024 as per update warning)
  • I'm running the latest version or the one prior of the Windows 10to7 Transformation Pack (I checked the changelog on the downloads page before opening the issue).

What version of Windows 10 are you using the transformation pack on?

Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 w/ latest patches

What version of the Transformation Pack are you having issues with?

Summarise the issue

Randomly while using my computer today, Defender quarantined injector.exe from Aero Window Manager as malicious. Attached is a screenshot of Defender's report on the file. I assume this is a false detection, and I have no idea why it would only flag it now, and not when I installed several days ago.

Through this, I discovered that defender also flagged injector.exe in a different directory on Oct 2nd. I don't believe this is related to my previous issue, as injector.exe (and OpenGlass.dll) were both still present in c:\awm, and injector.exe was still running in Task Manager.
