Aero/Transparency not working as intended? very opaque.

• My version of Windows is up to date (Atleast up to April 2024 as per update warning)
• I'm running the latest version or the one prior of the Windows 10to7 Transformation Pack (I checked the changelog on the downloads page before opening the issue).

Summarise the issue

Taskbar, and windows borders, and anything else that may use any transparency dont seem to look like they should, they look very, very opaque.
its not 100% opaque, its still a little translucent when you have a window unfocused, but when its focused you can barely tell its supposed to not be opaque.
"Color Intensity" slider does absolutely nothing that i can tell.

Install the pack, and look!

Expected behaviour

A clean, close to if not identical glassy/Aero replica of Windows 7 as shown in the screnshots.

okay woah, update, i tried looking for a fix in the issues, came across a "fix" and now welp.

reinstalling did not fix it. oh my god i may have fucked up royally.

Did you have openglass installed previously with some other settings? That's a way that glass settings might not look the same when installing

What was the "fix" you applied because that looks a total TP failure which would be helpful to know what you did to troubleshoot

i didnt have anything else installed on my pc before installing, i was actually looking at older closed issues and i came across this.

i tried it and it messed everything up, i'll try reinstalling the pack later to see if its still broken, im pretty sure this was just not the right thing and to be honest i shouldve just left it alone for the night.

Little edit here, okay, i just tried reintalling again, and woah.

it's been months, i reinstalled it like 5 times yesterday. im not sure if it was the fix from that post but everything seems to be looking great, is this how its supposed to look? i genuinely have no clue why it just did this, unless it was the other fix and for some reason it just didnt work until i reinstalled everything for the second time.

The fix you've shown was for the caption buttons meanwhile OpenGlass is the tool that handles the glass transparancy. If the active windows aren't opaque anymore then yea. that is how it is supposed to look but from your screenshot. that looks how it is meant to look (Startisback trial expired but that's normal.)

i was going to close this, but right as i was going to, i restarted my computer once and for some reason everything looks like this again.

i havent fucked around with the settings or anything, its been an entire week or two with the whole thing looking fine and then boom this happens.

should i just reinstall? try the other fix thing again?

editing this a day later after multiple restarts, its working again.

i genuinely have no clue what could be causing this, but i'll just close this for now
