UAC prompt is broken and freezes any application trying to ask for it

Summarise the issue

Let's say I try to open a program that needs administrator access using file explorer. I open it and it becomes unresponsive to clicks but still is responsive to arrow keys. File explorer doesn't crash it just stops responding to my clicks. I want to uninstall the transformation pack, but I can't because that needs administrator access and it just freezes. The UAC prompt icon does show up on my taskbar but when I go to click on it, it just closes.

Everything that requires UAC fails? Even trying to access regedit? If so try the solution here: #153 and see if that brings back the normal UAC prompt.

XamlcredUIAVailable was already set to 1. All I want to do is get rid of the transformation pack but UAC is broken so is there another solution? I restored to a restore point that I think was made by the transformation pack and the transformation pack is still there. The restore point before it had a bunch of software that I installed and I don’t want to install all of it again.

Update: now it’s just blue screening probably because of me using DISM because that’s all I did besides regedit. It saying BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO

Uh oh. that's actually bad because the registry hive corrupted somehow. Automatic repair should in theory repair this issue but if not then that's a big issue.

I think for some reason Windhawk wasn't able to hook into consent.exe properly (Missing symbols ?) and so it would just crash. That's the solution i was going to give before the last message which was to go into recovery and delete c:\program data\windhawk\engine\mods.

Sorry for the late response, if I have time I'll try deleting the folder and come back to you with results.
