Description
Since TTF
fonts can be converted to DISPLAYFONT
files, via ttf2bdf
(or FontForge) and READ-BDF
, it seems appropriate that printing of Medley documents (e.g., TEdit, Sketch, source files) represents the glyphs in those fonts correctly.
This would mean adding to POSTSCRIPTSTREAM
the ability to include PostScript fonts from pre-converted TTF
font files. We'd need to document the process to make the .pfa
or .pfb
files.
In this effort, there's a fair bit of learning about PostScript Level 3 (vs Level 1, which is what POSTSCRIPTSTREAM
was originally developed for).
