Number of news items on homepage

On our homepage (https://isoc.nl/) the 5 latest news items are shown. It would however be great when older news items are accessible as well. Is there a way to fix this?

The current hard-coded number per page (in front-page.php) is 8; if you see less, that would mean that either this number is changed in the copy you use, or there aren't yet more than five news issues in the database since the 'lossy' migration to a newer version of the site.

It should actually automatically show links to the older news items too, so my guess is the second option... Can you check?

I have checked and there are 21 news items in the database.
