What happened?

Telegram bot not responding when accessed through Beeper IOS app. Cannot get any responses to work through Beeper.

Secondary issue: /cmd for conversation threads is clunky UX - would prefer to register replies to specific messages instead.

Steps to reproduce

1. Set up Telegram bot
2. Access bot through Beeper client
3. Send any command to bot
4. No response received

Expected behavior

• Bot should respond to commands when accessed through Beeper/Matrix bridge
• Should be able to reply directly to a message to continue that thread context (enhancement)
