This might be intentional, to avoid abuse, because we aren't checking if the person has the appropriate permissions to do so on both sides.

@KartoffelChipss might have to correct me here, but I believe this is not a bug.

It might be worth expanding on this, maybe eventually just checking if the user sending has those kinds of permissions and then doing things appropriately, or adding some configuration to support this.

This is a fluxer specific issue. Pings don't work with webhooks.

Yeah I intentionally removed the ability to mention people to avoid abuse. We cannot check if user a that sends @everyone and has permission on discord also has permission to ping everyone on fluxer. (Which we could maybe assume)

Besides that it might actually not be possible to ping everyone or here with a webhooks to prevent abuse. I haven't tested that though.

The biggest hump is probably whether webhooks can actually mention those roles. Otherwise this might be able to be accomplished with the OAuth methodology I had suggested elsewhere.

The idea being the bot defaults to using the least amount of perms possible, but if say, person A who has permission to @eve, sends a message containing that, we allow it and follow the mention, otherwise we send it as plaintext and don't mention). This assumes that we can actually mention with webhooks, which is contested, and we use OAuth to check the user in question has the correct perms for it.
