Feature request - tasks checkpoints in project as a single repository

Related problem: Kilocode takes up a lot of disk space #536

I've observed that Kilo Code creates a new repository for checkpoints in each new task. This takes a lot of space and seems ineffective. The idea:

• Save a generated local id somewhere in the project folder
• Create a checkpoints folder for the whole project id with one repository
• Create branches for tasks and commits for checkpoints

Note: I'm not aware of how Kilo Code checkpoints work.
This is based solely on the observation that it uses a lot of space and creates git repositories for each task.

I write this because the autodelete fix is not for me - not everyone is happy with clearing history often.
I would like to analyze past prompts and outcomes, but I don't have time to do it every week or so.
