I think there is too much complexity without the need for. This is my proposal, if you want I can open a PR. But if you prefer something different, feel free to ask, I can surely help.

Hi thanks for working on this @bernaferrari. These idea suggestions only show when the number of tasks in the history for the open workspace is zero. What were you thinking of showing for the recent tasks text?

I do agree we can shrink the text and remove the stars, I also have some better suggested prompts to help people (for example: please give me an overview of this repository, or please ensure this repository is setup for agentic engineering, etc.). Do you think that would help?

Yes, I would probably like a "write a README" or "improve the README", something like that.

I didn't think much about the "recent tasks" but I don't love it.

• Maybe avoid showing "view all" if there are 0 tasks.
• Maybe avoid showing page 1/1 if there is not more than 1 page (extra complexity for nothing). That could probably be redesigned to be a bit more like shadcn/ui:

Even if all you do is add icons it will be an improvement:

• Maybe have some separators like 1 day ago, 2 days ago, 1 week ago, 1 month ago, 1 year ago. Could be helpful.

• There is no tooltip on this and I have no idea what it does:

I think I would probably try something like this as a "recents" redesign. A bit more compact (but can be expanded if desired), a card, good contrast.
