Crashes when trying to run speedtest.net #3828

Summary

Browser crashes when trying to run the speedtest from speedtest.net.

Operating system

Linux

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to speedtest.net
  2. Click GO
  3. Wait

Expected behavior

Expect for the speedtest to run to completion.

Actual behavior

The entire browser fails and crashes.

Bug is introduced when we switched from ssl to Openssl in commit 14ebcd4

RequestServer: Don't assert for socket not being CURL_SOCKET_BAD

The assertion in `WebSocketImplCurl::did_connect()` keeps failing for
multiple websockets when loading `https://www.speedtest.net/` since
commit 14ebcd4. This fixes that by checking and returning false if
something went wrong instead of asserting.
