[Feature Request] Copy column type #4887
Comments
Hello there! Thanks for opening your first issue on this repo! Just a heads-up: Here at Backpack we use Github Issues only for tracking bugs. Talk about new features is also acceptable. This helps a lot in keeping our focus on improving Backpack. If you issue is not a bug/feature, please help us out by closing the issue yourself and posting in the appropriate medium (see below). If you're not sure where it fits, it's ok, a community member will probably reply to help you with that. Backpack communication channels:
Please keep in mind Backpack offers no official / paid support. Whatever help you receive here, on Gitter, Slack or Stackoverflow is thanks to our awesome awesome community members, who give up some of their time to help their peers. If you want to join our community, just start pitching in. We take pride in being a welcoming bunch. Thank you! -- |
That's a cool one, thanks for the suggestion @rjjrbatarao I don't see this is an added feature to the text column... but we could create a new column starting from TEXT, that does that. That would be pretty useful in some cases. We've added this to the to-do list @rjjrbatarao , but please note we're super-busy with launching v6 right now, so we probably won't have time in the next few months to take care of this. If you need it fast, please use the link above to create one for your project. If you do, and can share the code here too, please do so - it would speed up us adding it too. Thanks, cheers! |
You can use the following code snippet to add it yourself in the meantime let yourButton = document.getElementById('id-to-your-button');
yourButton.addEventListener('click', () => {
navigator.clipboard.writeText(elementContainingTheText.value);
}); then ur html <your-element class="some-fontawesome-or-other-css-icon" id="id-to-your-button" /> |
It would be nice to have this for any field, right? |
