New user - some basic questions

Hi all. I've finally got my initial issues sorted and the gallery is now live. I have some questions that I've not been able to find any relevant settings or answers to.

1. Is it possible to define which image is shown as the album thumbnail?
2. Is it possible to completely switch off the display of the filename and date/time taken when viewing an image?
3. Can the album thumbnails be made bigger? They are very small when viewing on a phone.
4. Is there a global setting for date format somewhere? I've changed all the settings I could find to j M Y but I'm still seeing US formats everywhere.

Right click on an image, you can set it as cover (thus what you ask) or/and as header (the hero image on top).

Is it possible to completely switch off the display of the filename and date/time taken when viewing an image?

You can rotate the display by pressing o.
You can set the default display in the settings => Gallery => Default image overlay information => select None

Can the album thumbnails be made bigger? They are very small when viewing on a phone.

Supporter Edition option, but by default it should be 3 per row.

Is there a global setting for date format somewhere? I've changed all the settings I could find to j M Y but I'm still seeing US formats everywhere.

thanks for the comprehensive response.

Setting Album Thumbnail - When I left clicked I got the blue border but no menu popup. But now I realise I wasn't logged in as admin !

Default image overlay information - this is switched off, but I'd like to stop it appearing when the user clicks on the image. Maybe a future release could add the option to never display information?

US Date Formats - These still appear when editing the image dates. No important, just would be nice to have it match.

Do you want the user to access the Exif data or not at all is my question ? :)

Look into privacy options settings:

(note that light blue settings are SE for users)
