Generated watermarked images not displaying

Have loaded files to a new Album by dropping images onto a new albums upload box. When I check the uploads directory I can see the warkmarked files and they are viewable when using Hostingers FileManager.

The database shows reasonable looking entries for the thumbs and medium files.

However when I try to view the album with Safari or Netscape the layout is displayed but there is simply a blue box with a question mark in.

Pressing F12 shows.

The resource from “https://dowzall.me/dist/user.css?1775604751” was blocked due to MIME type (“text/html”) mismatch (X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff).

Have also spotted that;
GET https://dowzall.me/dist/user.css?1775604751=

is failing with 404 and is not in any Lychee directory.

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Gary,

Are you using Lychee on a sub-path ? As in example.com/path/to/lychee/ ?
if so did you set up your APP_URL and APP_DIR ?

Lychee was simply installed in dowzall.me public directory.

dowzall.me/public_html/Lychee
This gives access via url dowzall.me/Lychee

In Lychee/.env I have

If using Lychee in a sub folder, specify the path after the tld here.

For example for https://lychee.test/path/to/lychee

APP_URL=https://dowzall.me/Lychee

and APP_DIR=/path/to/lychee

We (LycheeOrg) do not recommend the use of APP_DIR.

#APP_DIR=/Lychee

So looking at the url of the images, it is trying to fetch them from:

• https://dowzall.me/Lychee/uploads/small2x/e1/6f/4707fd2d9e29d71ce04e864856ff_wmk.jpeg
  instead of
• https://dowzall.me/Lychee/public/uploads/small2x/e1/6f/4707fd2d9e29d71ce04e864856ff_wmk.jpeg

Can you change in your .env to the following:

APP_URL=dowzall.me
APP_DIR=/Lychee/public

Lychee is made to be used on subdomain e.g. in your case that could be lychee.dowzall.me that way you do not expose the public folder path and you don't need to use APP_DIR.

I tried the above and the url being used to access a picture was;
GET https://dowzall.me/Lychee/dowzall.me/Lychee/public/uploads/thumb/38/94/9f0010f700c0e298d2835d6897f6_wmk.jpeg

So updated .env to set url to blank and got it to work.

Can you try APP_URL=https://dowzall.me (just making sure that the https is there) and APP_DIR=/Lychee/public.

Yes, adding the https:// prefix to the url does make it work.

So am I correct in guessing that Lychee does not add APP_URL if actual url starts with APP_URL?
