Hey guys, I appreciate you work. Would it be possible to implement some more sites, from where we can import projects into mmp? It would be nice to see thangs, or cults3d.

Thanks.
Patrick.

Hi there,
Integrating websites that don't provide an API, unlike thingiverse, it's a pain...

If there is a code contribution, nice, I'll integrate it, but, at this point it's very difficult that it will go onto the roadmap.

Thank you for you interest 🙂

It would be nice, to at least get than a link to the project, without files and metadata, so that can be inserted manually afterwards. The problem now is, that at least 1 file while creating a project is necessary. So it would be nice, to remove that limitation, so we can also use mmp as a "link collector".

Another problem I found out now is, that I cannot initialize the mmp companion addon for chrome. I don't know if I can ask that here, but I am getting the error

Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'startsWith')
    at initBtn.onclick (main.js:53:44)

copied from the chrome developer console by inspecting the addon.

Thanks.
Patrick.

I would ask you to open a ticket with that information in the addon page.
as for the Link collector, the V2 is way more permissive on what and how you store things.
I think that should be achievable there, by creating a new folder and attaching that link to it.

It would be nice to simply add a project, give it a name and an external link. With that it is already getting a link collector, for me this would be enough.
